Tenmoku Tianmu Jian Zhan Chinese Tea Set

This tea set is produced in Jingdezhen, a famous ceramic town in China. The tea-making process uses the Tianmu wire-pulling glaze, which originated from the Qing Dynasty Jun porcelain and is also known as high-temperature cobalt blue glaze. The raw material of the tea set is high-quality white clay, and the tea set fired with it will show fine white textures under strong light. The surface pattern comes from the Tianmu wire-pulling glaze, because the glaze contains trace elements of cobalt, iron, and manganese minerals. Therefore, at a kiln temperature of 1280-1320°C, the mineral elements in the glaze will react with high temperature and form a wavy pattern in the direction of the flame. The glazed surface looks extremely beautiful, like fine lines entwined and twisted, hence the name Tianmu wire-pulling glaze.

Since the glaze is formed by high-temperature firing, it can maintain its bright color for a long time, and the glazed surface will form a natural waterproof layer, making the tea set easier to clean. You only need to use a soft damp cloth to gently wipe it.
